school & community Outreach

The San Francisco Beekeepers Association gives frequent talks at schools and community centers to help educate people about honey bees. Our speakers are experienced beekeepers who can talk about the biology of honey bees and their importance to the SF ecosystem. These volunteers use show-and-tell, slides, and — if conditions allow — a “visible hive” showing live honeybees at work under a sheet of protective glass. For many schools and groups the presentation is free, although most make a donation to the club to help promote honey bee education.

For information, just drop us a note and we'll send you a questionnaire to get details.
