How To Improve Your Hive Management

Master Beekeeper Peter
Kritscher explains how to take your beekeeping to the next level by setting appropriate goals and then sticking to them. If you do this, he says, it will help you resolve important issues ranging from whether/when to treat for varroa to helping more hives survive the winter. Kritscher, who's based in Walnut Creek, has been keeping bees since he started alongside his father in the mid 1970s. Today, he manages anywhere from 25 to 40 hives around the
Bay Area -- while also overseeing study sessions and exams for the California Master Beekeeper Program through UC Davis. Bring your questions and let Peter help you get set for a more productive 2024 season!
